The flighty I had from Detroit to Denver was scheduled to leave at 7:24 pm. I got there & it was delayed until 8.. fine. We board at about 7:30. We go through the safety demo etc… then the pilot comes on and says they found what they think is a leak in the brake hydraulics. Ugh. Yup.. that’s confirmed after a while… now they figure out what they can do.. eventually they decide they can just cap it off and run with 7 out of 8 brakes… hell.. we won’t need them for the flight anyway So they do that work.. then they run tests… grand total delay of 3 hours.. sitting in the plane.

At least I had a free upgrade to 1st class so it was at least comfortable. Once we took off the flight was uneventful.. I even caught some shuteye.

Once in Denver it was 11:30… the airport was on skeleton crew.. so baggage took forever.. then to find a lift into the hotel.. finally got to the hotel and checked in shortly after 1 am.

Not the greatest start to the conference, but it should be a good week!
